Purpose of BePeace Groups

The purpose of a BePeace Group is to provide a supportive environment for learning the components that lead to using the BePeace Practice on a daily basis. Then, whatever life brings us, we can grow from that experience with greater ease, efficiency and joy.

Group members will have the opportunity to practice specific BePeace activities through a structured 2 hour meeting format that creates a safe space to learn and grow as peacemakers. Groups of 6 or less meet weekly or bi-weekly for 3 month sessions.

How do I start a BePeace Group?

Any person who has graduated from the BePeace Foundations Course can initiate a BePeace Group and be a BePeace Group Leader.

In order to start a BePeace Group you need to first purchase a BePeace Group Kit which will have everything you will need to facilitate your Group through each activity.

Once you have purchased a BePeace Group Kit we ask that you register each member of your Group.

Registering Your Group

1. At the first meeting, the leader will collect the names and email addresses of group members (for the purpose of filling out the on-line registration form the next day).
   
   
2. At the first meeting, the leader will collect a $35 check from each participant, payable to RFI for RFI registration fee. (Leaders are encouraged to charge separately for their services.)
   
   
3. Then the following day, the group leader fills the form out online, (link to http://www.rasurinternational.org/index.php/bepeace/bepeace-group-registration)
   
   
4. The leader mails the checks for $35 registration fee for each group participant to:

5. High school or college student groups or groups in developing countries are exempted from the $35 registration fee. Leaders of these groups are requested to fill out the on-line registration form.
6.  At the end of one year, group members are encouraged to join as RFI members. Since we are a non-profit organization, this will directly contribute to our financial sustainability and ability to spread the practice of BePeace.
   
   
7. Once these steps are complete, your BePeace group will be officially activated
